Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall 2 200x300 image(Sturgis, SD – July 16, 2012)  The Broken Spoke Campground on 79 North in Sturgis is honored to be the home of the replica Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall – The Wall That Heals, hosted by Rolling Thunder, during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally 2012 from August 4 – August 10. Opening ceremonies will be held on Saturday, August 4 at 1 p.m. and closing ceremonies are Friday, August 10 at 3p.m. Admission and parking for this awe-inspiring memorial is free and open to the public. The Wall will be open 24 hours a day.  Please join the Broken Spoke family in honoring our fallen heroes.

About The Wall That Heals: The Wall That Heals, a traveling half-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, will be on display at Broken Spoke Campground from Aug. 4th – Aug. 10th as part of a national tour.

The exhibit, sponsored by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, is the only Wall replica that also includes a traveling museum and an information center. The traveling museum tells the story of the Vietnam War, The Wall, and the Era, and is contained in nine display windows on the sides of the trailer that transports The Wall. A computerized information center allows visitors to find information about the more than 58,000 named on the Memorial. – Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund
